Hi,

I used to monitor my hard disk temperature all the time. My hard disk has been running for many years (at least 7 years). I notice that when the temperature is high, the hard disk tend to shorten it's life. Thus I put up a fan to blow the hard disk and monitor it's temperature when it is under heavy load.

I use a program call SpeedFan to monitor it. The software display the hard disk temperature in tray icon (a small icon beside the clock) that make it really easy to monitor the temperature. Watch the video below to find out where I downloaded the file and how to read the temperature.
